Thanks for the detailed reply. Have since replaced Win7 with Ubuntu and the machine has been very stable since. Sorry I've been awhile in responding.

The above all stopped working on Samsung laptop after recent Win7 update. Uninstalled update but problems still there. In device manager have error code next to keyboard and ps/2 keyboard. Have tried to update driver. Same with ps/2 compatible mouse. My wireless mouse works fine. Everything...
