Its seems alot of smart tv's [Samsung U7000 series] are usb 2.0 supplying only 500 miliamps max through their USB ports. If your external HDD is 3.0 it could demand up to 900 milliamps, and therefore draw too much power from the smart tv, forcing it to power off. The solution seems to be a...
