    Hi Thanks for the suggestion I will give that a try as I know he installed an SSD in a caddy in the DVD tray so it might be that. I will report back. Cheers Mark

    Hi, My son's Asus laptop has stopped booting and just makes a weird whirring and bleeping sound. Any ideas what this might be. I have tried all the usual solutions. File of sound attached Thanks Mark
