which PC is best (entry gaming level)

The new one is your best bet. The refurbs are really old tech, they might do what you want, but the new Ryzen system will do it better and longer. Plus the new system has an SSD which I consider a necessity.

Solved! I have a toshiba satellite pro s750 and I really don't know if it has a cd player or not. It has a slot on the left side but i

How do you seriously not know whether it has a CD/DVD drive or not? Look at it, inspect all sides of the laptop. Seriously guy, you need to watch some youtube videos about basic usage of a computer.

I3 7th gen window 10 asus laptop super slow

They also probably put a slow spinning hard drive in there. I bought a new laptop last year that had a 7200RPM hard drive but still ran horribly. I installed an SSD and now it runs like a champ. Oh also, I hope you aren't planning on doing much gaming with your 920 GPU, because it's pretty weak.

    Upgrading setup for VR

I would get a new video card, 1070 or 1080, and overclock your CPU. You should be able to hit 4.5ghz fairly easy with that cooler. I had a 4670k and hit 4.6 with a Hyper 212 EVO.

    New laptop super SLOW

Unfortunately she's pretty low end. I wouldn't downgrade to Win7, you could have driver issues with that downgrade. What I would do is install an SSD. When I bough my last 2 laptops they came with a terribly slow traditional platter hard drive, once I upgraded them to SSDs they performed...

Need advice ASAP to pick the perfect laptop as desktop replacement. But good in portability.

If it was me, I would go with the MSI. It has the stronger processor ( I know you mentioned it would have lower battery life, but if you are using as a desktop replacement, then you want strong) and it has the better video card, much better. I'd buy it and just upgrade the RAM to about 16gb...

    Weird sound from laptop !!

It is possible that the drive got jostled around too much during transit and the arm got out of alignment and is starting to touch the platters. It is not uncommon that hard drives get damaged in the mail. I highly doubt that the drive was damaged due to the motherboard.

    Weird sound from laptop !!

I've never heard of ANY noises coming from just the motherboard. I have heard on many occasions the "click of death" coming from a hard drive. Once you begin to hear clicking from a hard drive, you should back up your data and replace the drive because hard drive failure is imminent.

    Weird sound from laptop !!

If you are hearing a clicking sound, then that is hard drive, bottom line. I've never heard of a motherboard making noise. If I were you, I would purchase an SSD and install it in the laptop and reinstall Windows with the restore disk(s) that came with it. An SSD will make your computer feel...

I have a question regarding my new laptop

It does look like it has a PCIe slot, here's the link to its page: https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ROG-GL702VT/specifications/ As for the OS, I would download a program to clone the drive. This is a popular one: http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx
