    Solved! My Asus mouse touchpad stopped working

    Thanks for your input. However, I turned the laptop back on after a couple of hour and the mouse pointer was back.??? Don't know why it was MIA for a while but it seems to be working. I bought a wireless mouse anyway, just out of preference. Thanks for your prompt help.

    Computer is only 2 weeks old. Mouse pointer disappeared. How to get it back and can I just plug in a wired mouse?
