    Update! I might have come up with the cause of the problem. turns out that i have left it plugged in on monday while i was at work then there was a lightning strike just near our house. Could that possibly be the cause of the problem?

    Is it the AC Adapter? I tried to plug it in while the laptop is running on the battery only. but I Only got a pulsing light on the power. I have a Toshiba sattelite L740.
