    I'm guessing you've tried unsuccessfully? Safe mode disables everything except for what's necessary to run the OS. I think this will pretty much limit you to VGA or DVI output. Any chance your monitor supports those connections and you have a spare cable lying around? There's really no point...

    The problem with gaming laptops is that they're not the most portable. They tend to be bigger than normal consumer laptops. You trade off portability for gaming ability.

    I can't speak to the interchangeability of those batteries. I think your best bet would be to search "ASUS A32-F3 battery" on Amazon and get one that you know will fit your laptop.
