In your bios is an option called 'A.C.C.' you use that to select 'All cores' and if you can unlock, it will, thats no promise that the cores are good or stable though Moto

Yeah, if its not happening at 1.5v its not happening, any more voltage is going to be dangerous and temps will already be high enough I'd think, Leave as a triplecore and enjoy, Moto

Whats stock voltage and what did you increase it to? Moto

The cores may have been locked because they weren't stable enough, so if you aren't confident in tweaking settings in bios to get the best you can, then I would try to see if they unlock stable, if not the relock the unstable core/cores again and just overclock Moto

I'm one of them, two x3 435's unlocked and clocked on stock coolers, one to 3.5GHz, but there is no guarantee that you will be as lucky, if you want a quad, buy a quad is my advice, and my Mobo of choice is the M3a770de from AsRock for triplecore chips Moto

Stock its only an 80w chip so unlocking is unlike to push it over 100w, you on stock cooling or aftermarket? stock will limit your overclocks somewhat but you can still get a couple of hundred Mhz on it Moto

Should be able to try, no promise that the cores are good though, bios should have the relevent unlock option for you to play with Moto
