I find that performing a cold boot seems to work for me, most of the time. After turning it on again, and allowing it to freeze, hold the power button until you HEAR it turn off. Turn it back on and hopefully all is well. ***You will lose data from anything you were actively working on.

The first suggestion I would have is to turn it on once again, after about 5 secs press and hold the power button until you HEAR it turn off. Then wait about 15 seconds and tap the power button. Lemme know if it works. It's called a "cold boot", opposed to "warm boot" that you are doing.
