    So, overheating can lead to hardware failure & also fps changes. Was your overheating a concern before the SSD was installed? My next idea would be to remove the SSD and run the game on the HDD and see if there is a FPS performance difference.

    So with battery and no charging wire plugged into the port, it doesn't turn on. When you plug the charger wire into the laptop, it turns on, correct me if I am wrong? If this is correct, you will need to change your battery.

    Ok, my best bet would be to log your freeze times with a time. Or if you know already, Search Event Viewer on your PC, open it up click Windows Logs > System and this will give you some information regarding any kind of freeze and what is going on with the PC Prior to it. Also, run task manager...
