I just want to note that I have the same problem with my Windows 8.1 Asus Zenbook. Pc shuts down or hibernates but fan keeps running, power led is on. I need to power off the PC by pressing the power key for around 10 seconds to completely turn off. Otherwise it runs for ever or until it drains...
