I never have so i don't know but amazon tells you if it is still under warranty or not on refurbished items and they are tested so if you get a good enough deal I don't see why not. But I wouldn't trust it if it wasn't under warranty.

O and I have a good desktop so I could do all my heavy gaming on there but I would like this laptop to be able to do some gaming and I will be programming and using visual studio on it as well.. I can get both laptops for the same price so which would you choose?
