don't do that just yet...uninstall the new driver and reinstall the old one...make sure you preform a clean install...if the problem is fixed then you know that your card is ok....if the problem still occurs then your have a bad card....
your gpu is getting too hot....that's happened to me on my laptop and desktop a few times, especially when i overclocked the gpu...it seems that the cooling is not enough....there is software out there that will allow you to under-clock your gpu.
just because you did not add any new hardware it does not mean that the hardware you have can not fail....also if you get updates from Microsoft they can and usually make your hardware misbehave...it has happened to me in the past....before you blame a virus check your hardware and see if all is...

if the ram is ddr3L it won't work...the L is for low power usage...also, some computer will not work if they are limited on how much ram you can install....remove the ram stick and re-insert making sure it's installed correctly. hope this helps.
