    Okay, me again I was the one who asked. Thanks for your speedy replies, really appreciate it. Now that I have ruled out the cable or inverter, I will probably go and get a new screen fitted. Thanks again.

    Please help: I have a white blotch on the corner of my laptop screen. external monitor displays image fine. I already know that a piece of hardware will need replacing, my question is which? How do I tell if it's the ribbon cable, inverter, or screen itself? Thanks
