Laptop Display black - is it LCD screen or LCD cable

My laptop Sony Vaio VPCEH12FX laptop display nothing on LCD but works fine on HDMI on my TV. So how to diagnose if the LCD screen is bad or LCD cable. And how to fix either ? Need help please...
