    Thank you. I was hoping to avoid the witched solution and use a simple 2 in 1 out cable joined behind the tv for neatness. In this case do I have to switch off the Blu-ray when using Sky and vice-versa?

    If I connect my Sky box and Blu-ray to my TV with a simple HDMI splitter, will I have to switch off the device not being used?
