Where specifically do you get this? A specific folder? Like Document and Settings? That's because that folder isn't a folder. It is a "junction point" there for backwards compatibility with legacy software. It's been moved\renamed to Users. same situation for some other folders too.

Well that's either the drive is bad or the connection between the drive and system is loose/bad. This can be fixed hopefully by just removing and reseating the drive. If drive is already in solid then either it's the connector is bad or the drive is toast.
