I have the Xonar DGX - not a top line card of course, but it is 5.1 with Dolby amplifier. I don't play competitively but I just want pure immersion with surround sound. (like with ambient horror games) Do I lose the ability of the amp in the soundcard if i'm using a wireless headset?

Right now i'm using a Turtle Beach PX3+Asus Xonar 5.1 sound card. Would any of the newer headsets sound much better? (since most come with their own 'sound card' in the usb adaptor) Like would the Hyper X Cloud 2 be any better or actualy worse? Also unclear on how wireless vs wired plays a role...
