Confirmed: Got the new battery installed this week and all is working well with this laptop. I am still new here so I am sure there is a way - but I'd say that this question is solved. So please let me know what I am supposed to do to mark this as solved. Thanks,

I guess I can't mark this as solved myself? Well - I guess there are a bunch of new Toshiba's that are just designed without a CMOS and just use the main battery. http://www.tomsguide.com/forum/id-3447806/cmos-battery-... I haven't found a manufacturer's list proving which model numbers...

Phillip - I appreciate your reply. YEP - I am familiar with soldered in place CMOS batteries. But honestly - I have reviewed this motherboard from end to end and can't find anything that looks like a battery. Here are some pictures of what I found when taking it apart...

Wrenching on a friends Toshiba Satellite E45T-B4106 (Part# PSPNCU-004002). Upon boot up it asks for the date and time. Everytime you unplug it you have to input the date and time. Needs a new CMOS or RTC battery? Right? Opened it up and just can't find anything that resembles a battery...
