The CPU comes with one already, and unless you are doing heavy workloads constantly, there is no reason to get an aftermarket CPU cooler. you are better off saving that money to spend elsewhere

What is more important to you? Looks+battery life+portability or gaming performance. If looks, battery life and portability are more important, go with the macbook air, and for gaming, go with the MSI, it will be much better

Not much better, if you have a good cooler on the system, you can overclock the CPU which will speed it up somewhat but overall it won't be very much.

X265 is very CPU heavy to encode, so I'm not at all surprised that you are needing 25 hours to transcode the video on those settings. If you want to do it faster, you will need a much faster machine than that, you'd be looking at an i7 minimum to get minimum transcode times

Depending on the make and model you can change some CPUs and GPUs, but the problem is that most CPUs will only allow you to change with other ones of the same series, for example, you have a laptop with a socketed haswell processor, you will only be able to put in other haswell processors...

Go with the HP envy as it has a SSD in it and that makes a huge difference for boot times and general usability

Well, I think the obvious solution is to uninstall the piece of software as it clearly doesn't work and enjoy the extra performance you get without it. Most of the time, software like this doesn't help you get better frame rates at all

If I remember correctly, windows does the RAM allocation automatically, so the amount of RAM which is dedicated to the GPU will vary as needed

There isn't any major difference, so I'd save your money and wait for something significantly better comes out
