    If all you're doing on it is watching videos and playing sims a minimum of $1700 is crazy. You could get a laptop half that price and it would be just as good for your needs.

    Can I upgrade this laptop to run games.

    The short answer is no. The parts made for most laptops are not really ment for being upgraded or gaming. Most solutions to that are more expensive than would really be worth the time such as an external graphics card.
