Time i added to my own list.
Been playing for a while with an <A HREF="http://www.apple.com/ipod/" target="_new">iPod</A>, and not even a current generation one, but an older 5 GB version.
It absolutely rocks. Obviously the size is brilliant, as i only have 128MB on my clie, although it's still...
Do you not think the original poster just MAY not be still waiting for an answer?

I'd just like to add that even though i have removed my limit on capturing (i use NTFS), i actually chose to keep file sizes down to under 2 GB because i then have to edit & work with them. Going through 6 5-minute files is a damn-site easier than going through a single 30 minute file.

I wish i had an answer for you, i don't. But i can tell you that i'd be surprised if you had an 'adapter' to allow you to use your firewire in (the IEEE 1394).
Basically, this only supports DV in, so the data has to be already be in DV format (usually from a camcorder). You can buy a seperate DV...
To be honest, you could call anything a "good" card, since any recent card by a major manufacturer will produce a good quality signal to the monitor (and this is what you want). Virtually all of them to my knowledge produce cards that have a 2 monitor option.
You state that you don't want a...
There is a limit on, i think, FAT32 drives (this means the way the drive is formatted), which prevented files from becoming over 2 GB in size. This used to be fine, but with DV it became a problem. From memory (i prepare to be corrected) some people such as Ulead found a way round it, to...
It happens to me when i still have my camcorder turned on after i've capture DV footage. Turning it off (or removing the DV cable) solves my problem.

I'm not familiar with Roxio, although many cd burning programs of the last year or so implement this type of feature. They are also usually very easy to do, by following the on-screen wizards.
I use <A HREF="http://www.nero.com/en/index.html" target="_new">Nero</A> as i think it's the best, but...
Post back, i'll be watching and good luck

WinDVD, although advertised as a DVD player, is really just a decent media player, with an option to auto-detect and play what it recognises as DVD's in a DVD ROM.
So it'll play nearly any type of file, including AVIs (which themselves can actually be very different due to the number of...
Can you load rm files into Premiere? I didn't know you could. I know you can export them from Premiere, but that's not the same thing. The only time I tried though I didn't have Real player installed, so MAYBE if you install Real player, then import into Premiere, then convert to something else...
Personally, i quite like mp3. To be honest i don't have knowledge of comparing it to other things (maybe i'm scared to find out it really is rubbish) but i have a library of 8000 songs (32 Gig), the favorite tracks encoded at 160 or higher, and have a number of mp3 playing devices.
It meets my...
Technically? Of course that's possible. Windows Media player will play any files, given the right codec to decompress.
But will Real Networks allow their codec to wander free around the internet to be downloaded? Will they b&^$^*£s.

At the moment i have chosen not to have real player installed, as it is very annoying. But if you do need to install, ALWAYS choose 'Custom installation' and slowly, carefully untick every option you don't need (especially anything that connects to the internet).
I then always go into Real...
I would like to start a list of mp3 players that people are happy with. Yes, you can do a search on different players, and read reviews etc. But this list is for current owners, who have had and used their player for 'a while', and are happy with it. Simple as that. Something that works as you...
