The HP isn't bad, as long as you go for the A10 and 8750M. You will want as much CPU as you can get for gaming.

HDD and RAM? Sure. Video? Unlikely, they very rarely can be upgraded. The big Clevo based laptops and the like are the only ones with upgradable cards usually.

The Acer Aspire V3-571G-6479 is lighter, has a much better GPU and better battery life. The i5 is a dual core but IS quad threaded. It's Ivy Bridge and turbos to 3.1GHz. I would go with the V3.
