    Just make sure that you remember to activate it again when you want to use it. That's why I went into detail with the "listen to this device" checkbox, so that you can keep it activated, but I'm glad that you got it working.

I can't root my phone; it's an NEC Terrain, so the only way to use my phone's network is to use a usb cable to "tether" it to my pc, and that both manages to be cumbersome and drain my phone's battery faster than it can charge, which I did not...

    Laptops aren't free; they're considered luxuries. There are student discounts in some occasions, but the closest thing to a giveaway pc is the rasberry pi, and you would still need a screen, keyboard, and mouse, which ends up totaling about $100 including the pi. Either that, or use the pc's...
