Yup, cut costs and RMA headaches. XFX boards are not up to par when it comes to heavy OC'ing. Hopefully that will change once the 6xxx series drops, I would love to see a hefty XFX 6770 with some voltage control.

I really doubt this is going to work, there will be some sort of workaround where the user will eventually unlock the CPU for free just cause he felt Intel was getting too greedy to begin with..

yea that fan is good enough, it has a 4pin molex that connects to you PSU =) I have a few of those apevia's in my nephews rig.

they are called "crippled" because when you buy the CPU it comes with 2 disabled cores. I was also able to unlock w/o any issues but that does not mean that its guaranteed to unlock. I recently purchased an x2 555 for my HTPC and it only has 3 fully working cores as the 4th is faulty.

An unlocked x2 555 aka x4 B55 does not compare to the x4 945, its actually a crippled x4 965 C3.

You should be able to get a few fans for cheap, here in the states a pair of yate loons normally go for 10.00$. Don't do any overclocking until you have adequate airflow.

The Antec 200 is a very good case, superior airflow that rivals more expensive cases. Just make sure you buy 2 extra fans for the front intakes.
