FDA Approves Telescopic Bionic Eye Implant

Clinical trials involving 219 patients resulted in vision improvement (from severe or profound impairment to moderate impairment) for 75 percent of the participants. I feel bad for the 25% that have a useless chunk of technology stuck in their otherwise bad or less than good eye.

The Golf Cart Inspired by Batman's Tumbler

UserremovedImagine going around on a golf course with that in a Batman suit. I suddenly have images of Bruce Wayne freaking out one weekend and yelling "To the Bat-Kart!", followed by a lengthy scene of him driving down the bat-cave and popping out of a secret tunnel exit into the Gotham...

    More Affordable Tabletop PCs, Please

Microsoft better beware: Apple may beat them to the punch. I can see it now, being unveiled by S. Jobs exclaiming, "We understand the average consumer. That's why when we rolled out iphone and ipad, we were really just preparing you for what we had been developing since the beginning of touch...

How to Get Rid of the Incessant Buzz of Vuvuzelas

Thank goodness somebody found a mildly decent way to lower the noise. It would be one thing if they were blowing them during exciting points of the game, but there's NO volume change in those "horns" whatsoever. It's like a swarm of bee's......annoying and completely mindless.

    Quintetto Creates Fish-Driven Music

Making one big enough to house a Great White with appropriate "Jaws" music would be downright awesome!

Yes! A Real, Stringed Guitar for Rock Band 3

EPIC!!! But if a real squire guitar costs between $100-$150, I can only imagine how much that hunk of electronics and US manufacturing will cost...

The Truck that Doesn't Need a Driver (Just a Sitter)

As if staying awake on long trucking runs wasn't hard enough, now your chilling in a chair watching a movie right after a bacon and egg breakfast while the truck drives itself.........sign me up!!!

Making Metal Origami From Sheet Metal

ClintonioWouldn't structural integrity be compromised quite severely? If more structural integrity is needed, one could always weld along the seems. However, the true strength I could see this kind of process have is in more accurate sheet metal prototypes, using smaller and cheaper bending...

What's Inside Fallout: New Vegas Collector's Ed.

HavoCnMeBethesda in my opinion, is one of the, if not the best game maker right now. Oblivion, Fallout 3 and soon Fallout: New Vegas. I can not wait to get this game. Off subject but i can't wait for the next Oblivion either....I think I'll try that cartman thing and freeze myself until it is...

Toyota's First Hydrogen Car to Cost $50,000

Again, as it stands right NOW, hydrogen production is very much primarily driven by petroleum, coal, or methane. Be it the electricity generated, or H2 generated from refinement of Methane, this is the case as it stands right now in the US. I 100% agree that nuclear in this country is a dying...

Making Prototypes From Printed Ice Sculptures

I agree with TindyTim. The whole point to most rapid prototyping machines on the market is to create a quick mold out of resin for the purpose of using it to mass produce product. Until they find a way to make ice do that, you'll only have a nice looking hunk of ice with NO engineering...
