That's not true, SPDIF is a standard, and any headset that supports it will be able to use it. Make sure you have your motherboard's onboard sound drivers installed.
First do: File>Options>Customize Ribbon
Find the Developer box and check it. Close out of the options window.
Click on the developer tab
Click Visual Basic
On "This Workbook" right click
Insert>Module
in the window that pops up type:
Function GPUPerformance (p, t, c)
GPUPerformance =...
My comment would be that pulling off the CPU heatsink isn't easy in a laptop, often laptops will use a single heatsink for the entire board, which can be very challenging to remove.
