I did figure it out. There is a headphone jack on the receiver that it has to be plugged in to. The T.V. Audio has to much interference.

It is plugged into the T.V. through the stereo line. I have tried through a PC and a headphone jack. Nothing works. Is it just defective?

For Christmas I bought my Grandpa a set of Sony Corldess stereo headphone system MDR-IF245RK. I have everything matched up with the instructions. But, when it is put to actual use only static comes from both earpieces. I have tried all of the suggestions on Sony's support site but nothing helps...
