I agree with RandomAdam. And if you find a switch that says something liike "mirror" display, check it. I got next to nothing from my HDMI connection until I did that. The switch was part of my video card software.

I just solved my own problem. What I needed to do was to go to the dashboard for my Graphics board and clone one of my monitors (in this case the tv) to the other. I did this by right clicking the icon of the monitor I wanted to become a clone. I use Windows 8.2. Now whatever is on my desktop...

I have connected my pc to my Yamaha V675 receiver, and the receiver to my tv. Both connections are hdmi. I get fine sound from the receiver when I play music on the computer, but the video is another story. The only video that shows up on my tv is the wall paper on my computer. Previously...
