Another thing make sure your amp is getting 14.4 volts of power not 12. Cars while running output 14.4 volts so the amp is designed to run off of 14.4 not 12. If you are running at 12 volts that 400 watt power rating of the amp can go way down just so you know

The Lenovo is a good Laptop I have a Lenovo with a i5 and have never had any problems with it. I think bang for the buck Lenovo is one of the better choices. Is 799 the price you are set at? because if you are using the machine for work you may consider getting a ssd to speed it up.

The Asus is a much much better machine if you will be gaming.

That is a good machine but the GPU is not the best. If I were you I would try to get at least a gtx770
