As a follow up post, to eliminate any possible source of interference I've pulled my setup apart. I have the 32" connected to one wall socket, the 42" to another and the Onkyo to a different one. I have just one HDMI lead from the output of the Onkyo to the input of the 32", perfect picture on...

Roughly a meter long, I've tested each one going straight from the HTPC to both TV's and each gives a good clean picture.

Right this is going to take some explaining, so if you think you can help then make a brew and get comfortable. I've got a self built HTPC, Xbox 360 and Sky+HD box all connected to an Onkyo HT-R390 via HDMI leads which is then connected to my TV via a HDMI lead. It's all been working just fine...
