Really the simple question is: do i get an i5 dual core (4 cores with ht) with 1gb dedicated graphics or an i7 quad core (8 cores with ht) and shared memory. Bare in mind i want it more for animation and video editing than gaming!

i know that the i7 is 4 cores with hyperthreading but i didnt know how much difference that actually makes.
