the touch pro 2 would probably fill your bill also. The default media player kinda sux though. If you get one make sure you buy pocket player...it's an awesome media player

most windows mobile devices come with remote desktop. so funny how everyone hates windows mobile but it does everything you could possibly want it to do.

a home theater pc could do this for you on the cheap. you may want to look into it.

check the simple stuff first, make sure the correct audio device is selected in the audio properties. Make sure the audio is at an audible level too. Try plugging in some headphones directly into the audio jack (you could have a defective cable).
