    Yup that was it. I was too frustrated with the thought of having lost 1600 bucks on the laptop plus screen I didn't try my other hdmi cable and port. I'm in the middle of nowhere working on a salmon fishing lodge so I was feeling hopeless but level heads prevail. Cheers.

    It's a TV, so the standard TV fare hdmis and components. but just hdmi on laptop

    I've only tried hdmi, I was having trouble getting into to load on the screen instead of my laptop but when I booted up and closed the laptop cover it worked but that image is what I got

    I have a pressure crack on my new laptop screen, ASUS gl552vw-dh71 and have a new screen on order to replace it (it fell off the bed while I was asleep) But when I went to plug it into the hdmi to get some stuff done I get this. Is there something else wrong?
