    the laptop charge the battery¿? what did happen the last time that you used fine your laptop? Edit: look inside the power jack and watch if is it moved or it's in a strange position. If it is ok, will be a shortcircuit in the motherboard.

    It's seem like a LCD or LVDS display cable issue. Problably you'll have to replace the LCD screen or the LVDS cable.

    Nikolay Savov said "It seems the HDD" and i think so. If you have a desktop PC, try to connect the laptop's HDD to it, in order to check it is failure.
