I would get the 17inch one. Playing games is more fun when the monitor size is bigger.

But it's not 17.2''. I've always played on a desktop computer so the screen size is really important for me.

What do you think about the MSI laptops? The one that costs 2 grands has 6gb gtx 970m and 128gb SSD but 12gb rams. How important will the ram and SSD be for more advanced games?

Hi all. I'm planning to buy a gaming laptop and I'm in between several options. I can pay up to $2000. I might be able to buy the 17'' alienware laptop here in this link http://www.dell.com/ca/p/alienware-17-r2/pd.aspx But most likely not. So probably I'll buy an asus laptop from this link...
