Disabling Hardware Acceleration in the Advanced settings helped me. It has improved 10 fold. I think someone else here actually posted this answer too-- just further reassuring that it's what worked for me as an avid chrome user. Settings> Advanced Settings > Scroll all the way to the bottom...
