It's not that difficult to see what's on your computer. I can see and check everything from files to processes to registry entries to program/file network usage to everything else you can think of. If you know what viruses do, it's easy to spot them without anti-virus.

Check the audio settings. It sounds like a default setting that cuts bass because laptop speakers won't produce bass.

In short, yes basically any surround set will work. Just watch the ohm load. Most home receivers are only stable from 6ohm to 8ohm. If you go with 6-ohm speakers they will pull a little more power from the receiver and be a little louder.

If it's 2-ohm stable, yes. Parallel will give you 2-ohms and series will give you 8-ohms.

I assume it's in 2 Channel/A Direct mode. Choose AFD Auto. It will give you two channel stereo + sub or 5-channel stereo + sub.

Wow. I'm not sure I would even bother trying to hook those up. That wire is definitely not speaker wire. Who knows if the speakers are properly crossed over. And the port... just looks like a hole in the box. It may work but it will more than likely sound like crap.
