Toshiba Satellite L875D-S7332 appreciate the assistance

I have a question; I plugged a universal adapter into my laptop. I wasn't paying attention, and realized the adapter was set for reverse polarity. Well, the laptop wont power up now. I'm guessing I fried something. Would you say the motherboard? Or is there anything more likely to fault...
