The CPU does effect gaming yes. That isn't a bad CPU for gaming though, it'll support games for a few years. You will have to downgrade your quality settings in games as time goes on though due to the GPU- Ranfty

Gaming rig question
The CPU should be fine. The GPU will be able to play titanfall but you may not get high fps on high settings. Also 4gb ram is needed- Ranfty
