Bumping this again, I'm having the same issue on a desktop. G3258 @4.4ghz, GTX 760, Win 8.1. I've seen multiple threads on this now but none seem to have an answer.
The lenovo Y510 is probably going to be your best bet. I haven't spend an excessive amount of time looking for laptops, but those seem to be the most highly recommended and well priced.
The reason for that is that you're graphics card just isn't very good for gaming. That laptop is designed as a workstation for editing and crunching data.
The GPU you have is basically an underpowered GT330m, aka. Not a good gaming (or anything really) card at all.

You should be able to choose to either keep the current petition sizes, or the sizes form the backup drive. Either will work fine and will be equally stable.
