Bios in your laptop is the latest? In Bios setting HDD -> Sata or Compatible ?

Propably you have a problem with Hard Drive. Please check this. You should use MHDD tool and please paste finish results scan your HDD.

Asus laptop stop working
Propably this problem with electronics. You should check VGA ( If you have a TV or monitor please plug to HDMI/VGA socket in your laptop and check display on TV or monitor. Propably problem with graphics card or power supply on motherboard.
