Definitely sounds like its overheating. Try to find a hardware monitor page in the BIOS/Setup to check temperatures. If the CPU heatsink is no longer doing its job, that would cause it to shutdown in order to prevent damage. If there's no hardware monitor in the BIOS, try putting speedfan on...

Like a flickering light you know.. loose connection then when you tighten it it stays on

Sounds like faulty wiring. Check your warranty first then maybe open up that speaker and check the connection

Umm check the wiring.. is there a power light on the one that controls the volume? Check the manufacturers warranty for that product and you may be able to get a replacement for free.
