I initially was asking about the same thing. We bought2 iPhone 5c's and couldn't get approved for enough lines (wanted 5 lines), but my daughter was moving the service to virgin because they also don't use sim cards. That was the only provider that it was able to work on to my knowledge.

After reading existing posts I contacted Sprint and received the unlock code for my iPhone 5c's. I always thought there was more to unlocking a phone.
