Sounds like the screw hole has become widened over time, try using a wider screw that is the same length or try putting glue between the two pieces of plastic.

It might not be a hardware issue, try re installing your operating system.

Sounds like a CPU error to me, an old laptop of mine did that to me when I was showing it to someone who wanted to buy it. It started working again the next day. I would recommend taking it to your local computer shop and let them have a look at it.
