Asus generally has better customer support, hp seems to have a serious quality control issue as of late as well.

Looking for a solid laptop for college, I need something able to comfortably run word, spreadsheet, etc, as well as AutoCAD, and the occasional game. I would prefer something with an all metal chassis, as my current plastic body machine has slowly disintegrated over the 2 years I've had it...
