    I got it because it was on sale for Black friday. My mac is a 2010 15 inch macbook pro. SATA is backwards compatible so SATA3 drives should work fine with SATA1 and SATA2 ports

    According to this, the 2007 macbook pro with intel core 2 duo came with 10.4.9 as with the 2006 macbook pro..Only difference is the 2006 cannot handle anything higher than 10.7.5 unlike the 2007 which can support even 10.10...

    Do you mean snow leopard? (10.6) It should give you a nice boost over 10.5.8. Since your macbook only has sata2 ports, just about any SSD should be ok. Just avoid kingston Personally i have a OCZ vector 460 (the new ones) in my mac and samsung 840 pro on the PC - both work fine.

    Quadruple? As long as you upgrade to 8gb max (2 x 4g) you should be good. As for hard drives, i have a 1 TB in my 2010 and a friend has a 1 TB in their 2007 so I'm sure your mac will handle it just fine

    Provided that the OS the Macbook originally came with ran 10.5.8, it should be ok. As for cloning, you'll need to plug in the 2.5 inch hard drive directly into the desktop and use a cloning tool such as SuperDuper or Carbon Cloner Or plug the 2.5 inch hard drive through a portable USB 2.5"...
