You shouldn't need any other converters. I'm using DisplayPorts to HDMI for my monitor and my tv.

DisplayPort to HDMI should work. Maybe the cable you have is bad or not working?

Does the Playback/Recording options detect sound coming from your mic?

I've been using the Logitech G930 for a while now and it's been pretty good. I don't get people complaining about my mic being bad or anything. The only downside is that for some reason it's been disconnecting a lot lately and I have to turn the headset back on every 30 minutes to an hour...

Could also be a memory problem. Try running Memtest86 to test the memory?

Try looking to see if there is a small hole near the open button. It should be big enough for a paper clip to poke through. If you see it, use a paper clip and push it through to open it
