I have no installed antivirus besides the default windows AV. You just need to be careful, know what you are getting in to, and how to clean up mistakes when they do happen.

If going to buy the software. i suggest buying directly from Cyberlink Website. This way you will get the latest version, as well as any updates. No reason to buy a 3 year old piece of software when a newer version is just $20-30 USD more, supports more features, and offers a better experience.

No, it will not come with software. Money Money Money! They all cost money. I use Cyberlink PowerDVD 14. (http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdvd-family/introduction_en_US.html) There are many other options out there though.

Do you have the Samsung Plasma set as the Audio Playback device? Check the audio settings on your Mac and see.

I personally prefer this antivirus called "common sense with a touch of computer knowledge." Unfortunately it can't be downloaded. =P

If it really is that bad, simple wipe the drive clean, and do a clean OS install.
