Mobile CPU suited for Excel work (macros)

OK, after hours and hours of searching, I have managed to find a bargain. It is an "outlet" sale from a store. But it is practically new. The buyer returned it after a few days of use due to CPU overheating. They changed the CPU cooler and put it back on sale at a discount (plus I had an...

Mobile CPU suited for Excel work (macros)

Oh, so it needs and SSD too. :/ I though that once the Excel file is loaded, it is stored in the RAM anyway, so hard drive is not an issue. Well, this even more complicates things. And, I can see that I will get the same answers as I read online already. Some peole say that even low end CPU is...

Mobile CPU suited for Excel work (macros)

I need to buy a laptop for somebody who needs it for Microsoft Excel work with macros (formulas, calculations), in economic/financial sector. He is just starting to work, so he is probably not doing very advanced stuff, but in the future he probably will. I don't work in Excel, so I am not...

No grounded outlets for Lenovo yoga in china

Well use bottom one (that actually has ground). Just buy plug adapter (to convert it to the one that fits in the bottom socket).

    *EMERGENCY* killed cmos?

Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. Can you, maybe, pull out all cards from the motherboard that you can (like WiFi, Bluetooth, and so on), and also optical drive and HDD (RAM also), and see if it will beep then.

    *EMERGENCY* killed cmos?

Yeah, it sounds ridiculous to me that taking the CMOS battery out and putting it back will kill the computer, but it still happened to me.

    *EMERGENCY* killed cmos?

For me, it only beeps without RAM. But, if it does not beep for you, no matter what you do, it could be a dead chipset, maybe.

    memory card issue

If you don't have anything on the memory card (like photography you don't want to lose), try formatting the memory card. First in the camera itself (wing the format option in the camera menu or manual). If still does not work, try reformatting it in the computer (I think that it should be...

    *EMERGENCY* killed cmos?

If you have a discrete graphic card, remove it, reset the BIOS settings again, and try then. But as I said, it is probably the motherboard (BIOS related chips). Because of the same problem, I have taken my computer to service (I have just returned). If they let me know in the next few days...

    *EMERGENCY* killed cmos?

You will not believe me, but same thing with my computer. I have noticed that BIOS was somehow corrupted (even though computer worked fine), so I just reset the BIOS settings, and after that I have the same symptoms as your laptop. And my motherboard has 2 BIOS chips, and it seems that both died...

    *EMERGENCY* killed cmos?

I have the same problem on my desktop. Unfortunately, most probably BIOS chip died. That is what I think is on my computer. Try with only one stick of RAM. Try every slot. But it will probably not help.

i have the same problem with 1080p videos too

Horizontal black lines on top and bottom? That is normal if you are playing some movie (that has different aspect ratio than your TV screen). If you are just watching TV program and have this issue, than check the manual.
